Golf House Retail Manager

About the role

The Madison Club in La Quinta, CA is seeking a Golf House Retail Manager to lead its retail department. The role is responsible for delivering an exceptional retail experience that reflects the club’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full buying process, from strategic planning and vendor development to seasonal purchases.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing retail team, driving sales through visual merchandising and proactive inventory oversight.
• Source and purchase high‑end merchandise across categories such as golf, athleisure, logo apparel, accessories, gifts, and home items for both the store and marketing swag.
• Utilize the Management One open‑to‑buy system to manage inventory, create purchase orders, and track orders.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director of Retail on custom product development and branding compliance.
• Maintain vendor relationships, update contact information, and attend key trade shows (Indian Wells Golf Show, PGA Show, etc.).
• Conduct monthly physical inventories, monitor shrink, and ensure optimal sell‑through of core items.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail buying and merchandise planning.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing retail teams.
• Excellent understanding of member preferences and luxury retail standards.
• Ability to analyze sell‑through data and make collaborative purchasing decisions.
