About the role

The Global Trade team supports import and export activities for Applied Materials, ensuring compliance with regional policies and restrictions. This role focuses on HTS and ECCN classification of systems, spare parts, and products for international shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze international trade activities and ensure compliance with local and global regulations.
• Perform HTS and ECCN classification determinations for systems, spare parts, and other products.
• Audit and maintain the master classification database in SAP/GTS.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis of trade issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate required licenses, permits, and government approvals for special trade activities.
• Develop and deliver trade‑compliance training and generate compliance reports.
• Support regional customs audits, compliance program reviews, and respond to customs inquiries.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in U.S. HTS and ECCN classification.
• Knowledge of semiconductor, flat‑panel, and solar‑cell manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of import/export compliance elements such as Harmonized Tariff Schedules and export licensing.
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Production, Aeronautical engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with classification tools (GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO notes, export regulations).
