Global Software Engineer II

About the role

The Global Software Engineer II at Applied Materials is responsible for analyzing and resolving equipment software issues, supporting customers, and contributing to the development of robust software solutions that enable advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and collaborate to resolve equipment software application and systems issues of moderate complexity, including high‑value problems and systemic bugs.
• Provide customer software support through the ticketing system and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.
• Create, test, and verify Software Change Notifications and Key Feature Procedures for product software.
• Develop customer‑focused feature documentation for external software features.
• Participate in equipment software specification, design, testing, and documentation reviews based on customer requests.
• Assist in training junior engineers and detailed product operation.
