Global Product Support Engineer II (E2)

About the role

The Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer II will develop and maintain procedures for new semiconductor and display equipment. The role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality and customers to ensure successful product launches and field support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new procedures and Best‑Known Methods (BKMs) for servicing new products and create technical product manuals.
• Participate in first‑chamber build and test in the Applications lab, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering to resolve them.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability to review top field issues, lead CAPA processes and conduct failure analysis when required.
• Collect qualification data, generate Customer Engineering Notices and Internal Service Bulletins, and deliver training packages to customer engineers and internal support teams.
• Identify and coordinate stocking of new parts with the Global Supply organization.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in product support with solid understanding of related disciplines such as manufacturing and quality.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and provide guidance to less‑experienced colleagues.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical information and build consensus across teams.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools (wrenches, drivers) and electronic diagnostic equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter).
• Reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic and gas schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Electronic device diagnostic analysis, including hardware diagnosis of electric motors, high‑power delivery systems and gas‑flow systems.
