Global Process Support Engineer

About the role

Join Applied Materials to develop and support cutting‑edge processes for semiconductor and display manufacturing. You will create procedures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new procedures and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for new products.
• Contribute to the FMECA and CAPA processes and conduct Failure Analysis when needed.
• Own first‑chamber build & test activities in the lab and resolve product issues.
• Partner with Manufacturing to create final‑test procedures for new products.
• Collaborate with Quality & Reliability to address top field issues.
• Document installation, retrofit, and maintenance manuals and create Customer Engineering Notices, Internal Service Bulletins, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collect process and qualification data to establish product BKMs.
• Develop training packages for new products and deliver training to Customer Engineers, Process Engineers, and Technical Product Support staff.
• Identify and coordinate stocking of new parts with AGS.

Required profile

• Functional knowledge: conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline with basic knowledge of related fields.
• Business expertise: understanding of best practices, integration with other areas, and awareness of market competition.
• Leadership: acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small projects.
• Problem solving: resolves complex problems and exercises judgment using multiple information sources.
