Global Logistics Specialist

About the role

Bedrock is building the systems to map the ocean floor at scale. As the first Global Logistics Specialist, you will own the end‑to‑end movement of equipment and Ops Kits between our Richmond hub and survey sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and track all international and domestic shipments of equipment, including customs clearance and dangerous‑goods handling.
• Develop and maintain a customs playbook, HS classification, and dangerous‑goods program.
• Negotiate with freight forwarders and carriers, monitor performance, and enforce service standards.
• Maintain real‑time visibility of every kit and case, building contingency and backup plans for tight survey windows.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, export controls, and import/export regulations across all operating jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Experience managing complex, global logistics operations, preferably in a technology‑driven environment.
• Strong understanding of international customs documentation, HS codes, and dangerous‑goods regulations.
• Ability to create and enforce logistics processes and standards from scratch.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for time‑critical shipping challenges.
