Global Director, Image Guidance & Surgical Navigation

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Global Director to lead its Image Guidance, AI & Digital Intelligence, and FLACS (LenSx) portfolios. This senior leader will shape global strategy, brand positioning, and product direction across the surgical franchise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Global Surgical Franchise Core Team for Image Guidance, AI, and FLACS portfolios.
• Define and own new product development strategy, including portfolio vision, AI‑enabled capabilities, line extensions, and roadmap.
• Partner with R&D, Digital, Data Science, and Manufacturing to guide programs from concept through launch readiness.
• Establish global positioning, single‑minded benefit, and value proposition for each portfolio.
• Ensure alignment across visualization, phaco, diagnostics, planning, guidance, AI, and digital workflows.
• Own global product and brand strategy for Unity GPS, including AI enhancements and phased platform integration.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global product portfolios in the medical‑device or eye‑care sector.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams (R&D, Operations, Digital, Commercial).
• Strong track record of delivering new products from early concept to market launch.
• Experience shaping AI and digital strategies within surgical workflows.
