Global Chief Data Officer (Remote)

About the role

The Global Chief Data Officer (CDO) at LSEG‑USA is a full‑time remote position responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise‑wide data strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, the CDO will ensure that data assets are reliable, secure, and leveraged to drive innovation and strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee data governance frameworks, standards, and quality initiatives across all business units.
• Lead global data teams and collaborate with technology, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Drive data science, advanced analytics, and machine‑learning programs to support product development and innovation.
• Establish policies for data usage, compliance, and ethical practices.
• Champion a data‑driven culture through education, communication, and change management.
• Prioritize data projects, monitor performance metrics, and align investments with strategic goals.
• Represent LSEG’s data agenda to internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Data Governance, including policy and framework creation.
• Strong analytical background with a track record of using data to influence business decisions.
• Advanced experience in Data Management, covering architecture, metadata, and lifecycle management.
• Leadership experience in Data Quality program design and execution.
• Background in Data Science, advanced analytics, machine learning, and modeling.
• Senior data or technology leadership experience in large, global organizations, preferably within financial services or market infrastructure.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management or a related field.
