GIS & Market Analyst – Insights & Analytics

About the role

The GIS & Market Analyst joins Tanger’s Insights & Analytics team to provide market intelligence and geospatial insights that guide strategic decisions across leasing, marketing, investment, and development. Working both independently and collaboratively, the analyst leverages GIS technologies, location‑intelligence platforms and emerging analytical tools to turn complex data into actionable business recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Tanger’s geospatial data assets and location‑based datasets.
• Produce market intelligence reports, visualizations and dashboards that support leasing, marketing and development initiatives.
• Partner with functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data‑driven solutions.
• Design and implement analytical tools and automated workflows using AI and automation technologies.
• Translate complex spatial and market data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large data sets.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional environment and building trusted partnerships.
• Self‑starter who can manage projects independently while collaborating effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS technologies (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Experience using location‑intelligence platforms and data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
• Familiarity with AI, machine‑learning and automation tools for research efficiency.
