Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a recent or upcoming civil engineering graduate with a focus on geotechnical engineering to join our growing geotechnical group in Juneau, Alaska. You will work on a variety of civil projects, applying modern technology and laboratory equipment to develop foundation and slope solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare geological analyses, foundation designs, slope stability and seismic designs for marine structures, retaining walls, roads, bridges and site development.
• Develop contract documents and detailed technical reports to support client decision‑making.
• Plan and execute on‑shore and off‑shore geotechnical investigations in urban and remote Alaskan settings.
• Conduct fieldwork in challenging conditions and translate findings into actionable engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Interest in cold‑region foundation design and ability to travel to remote sites.
• U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record.
