Geometry Teacher

About the role

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is seeking a full‑time Geometry Teacher to join its Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area schools. You will plan and deliver engaging geometry lessons that align with district curriculum standards while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement geometry lesson plans that meet state and district standards.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to support student achievement.
• Participate in professional development and fulfill additional school‑related duties as required.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of geometry concepts, mathematical reasoning, and problem‑solving.
• Effective communication skills for engaging students, colleagues, and parents.
• Relevant teaching certification and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning.
• Experience in secondary education or a similar teaching environment is advantageous.
