Generalist Teacher (Grades K-5)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Generalist Teacher to educate students in grades K-5, fostering intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. You will work closely with the building principal to deliver high‑quality instruction in a safe, healthy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver learning activities aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency standards.
• Develop, adapt, and document lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Maintain effective classroom management and student behavior standards.
• Assess student progress, maintain records, and communicate results to parents.
• Provide counseling support before and after school and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning issues.
• Coordinate aides, paraprofessionals, and student teachers as needed.
• Participate in community outreach such as open houses and PTA meetings.
• Ensure punctual attendance and uphold district policies.

Required profile

• Ability to teach K‑5 subjects in compliance with state and district regulations.
• Strong lesson‑planning skills with evidence of preparation.
• Effective classroom management and student evaluation capabilities.
• Willingness to collaborate with administrators, staff, and parents.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 10 lb and perform regular classroom duties.
