General Superintendent

About the role

Clayco is seeking a General Superintendent to lead on‑site construction activities for large‑scale projects ranging from $100M to $500M. You will be the primary point of contact for all field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and direct all on‑site construction activities, supervising subcontractors and field staff.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and environmental regulations.
• Manage daily reporting, cost control, schedule adherence, and procurement of materials and equipment.
• Develop and execute plans for automation, safety, environmental compliance, site surveys, staffing, subcontracting, labor strategy, and construction execution.
• Implement Clayco’s safety, security, housekeeping, and fire protection programs.
• Coordinate with project teams to maintain labor harmony and effective personnel utilization.
• Analyze field performance against quality standards and schedule targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, complex construction projects in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost and schedule management, and field engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent understanding of federal and state safety regulations.
• Ability to develop and enforce detailed site procedures and policies.
