General Service Technician (Lube and Tire Technician)

About the role

Monro is hiring a General Service Technician, also called a Lube and Tire Technician, at its Cantonment location. This is an entry-level automotive technician position that starts with a comprehensive mechanic training program covering all aspects of the role. You will perform maintenance services on guest vehicles and help deliver a 5-star guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Change, mount and install tires
• Remove wheels, repair and balance tires, and patch or plug tires
• Perform quick-lube duties such as lubrication and oil changes
• Inspect and rotate tires
• Carry out basic maintenance such as battery installation
• Learn alignments, brake services and scheduled maintenance services

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Automotive experience
• Own basic set of mechanics tools or join the tool purchase program
• Valid driver's license and at least 18 years old
• Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, able to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs
• Preferred: automotive technician or lube and tire experience
