General Manager – Retail Store (Mebane Tanger)

About the role

As the General Manager of an Old Navy store, you will lead a team to deliver a profitable business plan while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You act as the bridge between brand vision and daily store operations, driving sales growth across all functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze results, identify opportunities, and collaborate with leadership to meet key performance indicators.
• Drive profitable sales through accurate forecasting and effective scheduling.
• Manage the store budget and daily operations to support the P&L.
• Build and develop high‑performing teams by recruiting, selecting, and coaching staff.
• Implement and execute Standard Operating Procedures and initiatives.
• Create an inclusive environment and promote community involvement.
• Leverage OMNI tools to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all standards and represent the brand competitively.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of retail experience in a leadership role.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver results and meet sales targets.
• Strong communication skills with customers and employees.
• Physical ability to work on the sales floor, lift up to 30 lb, and handle chemicals safely.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and travel as needed.
