General Manager – Retail Store

About the role

The General Manager leads the Charleston Tanger Outlets store, translating Gap’s brand vision into daily operations. You will drive profitable sales, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and develop a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze store performance, identify opportunities, and collaborate with leadership to meet key metrics.
• Drive sales growth through accurate forecasting, effective scheduling, and inventory management.
• Manage the store’s daily operating budget and support overall P&L objectives.
• Recruit, select, train, and develop team members to build a productive workforce.
• Coach and provide feedback to ensure team performance aligns with brand standards.
• Implement Standard Operating Procedures, compliance standards, and action plans for efficiency.
• Represent the brand in the community and promote local involvement.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of retail experience in a leadership role.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver results and meet sales targets.
• Strong communication skills with customers and employees.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and travel as needed.
