General Manager – Membership

About the role

The General Manager, Membership will lead Fortune’s premium membership programmes aimed at senior executives, entrepreneurs and business leaders. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role sits at the crossroads of events, content and community while driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define the Fortune membership value proposition, pricing and benefit framework.
• Develop and execute a growth strategy, evaluating total addressable market and scaling acquisition.
• Own the membership product roadmap, prioritising benefit development and coordinating platform and technology needs.
• Conduct member research and segmentation to refine the offering for C‑suite, investors and entrepreneurs.
• Manage executive member relations and white‑glove service standards.
• Take full P&L ownership: set revenue targets, manage acquisition economics, control costs and report financial performance.
• Design and run lifecycle programmes covering onboarding, engagement, renewal and win‑back.
• Track KPIs such as acquisition volume, retention, NPS, revenue per member and LTV/CAC.
• Collaborate with Fortune Live Media/Events and Editorial to create exclusive experiences and content for members.

• Commercially driven with a strong focus on member value.
• Member‑obsessed and comfortable delivering high‑touch, white‑glove service.
• Entrepreneurial mindset capable of building programmes inside a legacy brand.
• Proven ability to manage a P&L and drive revenue growth.
