General Manager – Finance

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished General Manager – Finance to lead the finance function of a rapidly growing U.S.-based retail and e‑commerce business. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will act as a strategic financial partner, strengthening controls, improving visibility, and enabling data‑driven decisions in a high‑growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall financial strategy, including budgeting, long‑term forecasting and capital allocation.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic insights, performance analysis and risk management.
• Ensure robust financial governance, regulatory compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, managing relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Lead cash‑flow management, financial accounting, performance tracking and the implementation of reporting dashboards.
• Drive ERP implementation, automation and digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and discipline.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in international or U.S. retail/e‑commerce.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of strategic financial management, cost optimisation and risk mitigation.
