About the role
Lewis Brisbois is seeking a General Liability Attorney to join its Lafayette, LA office. The attorney will work within a national practice that defends clients in complex insurance litigation across a broad range of liability matters.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage cases from inception through discovery, motion practice, and trial.
- Handle hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.
- Represent insured and self‑insured businesses and individuals in property and personal injury claims.
- Collaborate with senior partners and associates on high‑stakes litigation strategies.
Required profile
- Admission to the Louisiana Bar.
- 2 to 15 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong research and writing abilities.
- Proven track record handling all phases of case management, motion practice, discovery, and trial.
