General Labor Operator

About the role

Join a leading paperboard and packaging manufacturer as an entry‑level General Labor Operator. You will support daily mill operations, ensure equipment runs smoothly, and help maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers.
• Operate mobile equipment and forklifts to support cleanup and material handling.
• Handle equipment or paper issues as they arise, performing visual checks for jams, crossed ropes, and other malfunctions.
• Document daily and monthly rounds according to standard operating procedures.
• Assist crews during paper breaks, thread paper, and clean debris.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties and retrieve/distribute supplies from stores.
• Monitor quality of assembly output and read technical drawings or service manuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing practices and strong problem‑solving ability.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
