General Counsel

About the role

sfcompute is building a liquid market for GPU offtake, enabling companies to manage the financial risk of large‑scale AI infrastructure. As General Counsel, you will act as a strategic legal partner, shaping deals from the outset rather than merely reviewing them after the fact.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a legal strategy that aligns with the company’s rapid growth and product roadmap.
• Partner with founders and deal teams to pressure‑test transaction structures, flag material risks, and guide ambiguous decisions.
• Draft, negotiate, and close a variety of contracts, including offtake agreements, partnerships, vendor deals, and licensing arrangements.
• Navigate emerging regulatory landscapes such as AI sales restrictions, AML/KYC, potential CFTC oversight, GDPR, and cross‑jurisdictional data‑privacy laws.
• Provide counsel on corporate governance, fundraising, and investor relations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience advising high‑growth technology or fintech companies on complex commercial transactions.
• Strong commercial instinct and the ability to balance risk mitigation with deal acceleration.
• Proven track record of working closely with senior leadership and influencing business decisions.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of contract negotiation and drafting for technology‑focused agreements.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance related to AI, financial services, and data privacy.
• Ability to interpret and apply evolving legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
