General Core Instructor – Economics

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a General Core Instructor to teach economics courses within the Arts & Sciences program at Oconee Fall Line Tech College. This full‑time position reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs and contributes to the college’s mission of delivering high‑quality education to students across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver economics instruction using appropriate teaching techniques.
• Develop, administer, and grade assessments in accordance with the approved syllabus.
• Maintain accurate grade books, student records, and inventory of assigned property.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with students and faculty.
• Stay current with in‑field economic procedures and incorporate them into classroom instruction.
• Complete required reports and records in a timely manner.
• Work flexible hours, including possible evenings, and travel to satellite locations as needed.

• Ability to provide instructional supervision under general supervision.
• Commitment to follow the approved course syllabus and institutional policies.
• Strong organizational skills for record‑keeping and inventory management.
• Willingness to work day and evening shifts and travel when required.
