General Assistant Operator

About the role

The General Assistant Operator supports the production of specialty alloys by operating equipment, handling materials, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position works across various areas of the facility and requires flexibility to adapt to different production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery such as rolling mills, melting furnaces, and other specialized equipment.
• Load, unload, and stage materials for production while maintaining proper inventory flow.
• Follow quality control procedures and document production data accurately.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and team projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• At least 6 years of work history, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift/push/pull loads up to 85 lb, and work in non‑climate‑controlled environments.
• Willingness to work any shift (day, swing, or night) and overtime as needed.
