General Anesthesiologist (Physician) – Full‑time

About the role

Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible General Anesthesiologists to join its expanding MD Primary model team. Physicians will have the opportunity to perform the majority of cases independently while collaborating with residents and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) for the remainder.

Key responsibilities

• Perform up to 75 % of anesthesia cases solo.
• Collaborate with residents and CRNAs for the remaining cases.
• Provide anesthesia care for complex patients undergoing challenging surgical procedures.
• Contribute to a high‑volume tertiary‑care referral center handling more than 52,000 cases annually.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Anesthesiology.
• Open to new graduates as well as experienced anesthesiologists.
• Commitment to caring for complex surgical patients in a tertiary‑care environment.
