GenAI Developer – AI/ML Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced GenAI Developer to join our Ashburn, VA team. This onsite position offers flexibility while requiring regular presence at the office to collaborate on AI/ML pilot projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement custom software solutions for a variety of AI/ML pilot projects.
• Participate in prototyping teams, delivering working applications on short timelines.
• Analyze complex problems and create innovative technology, methodology, and tool solutions.
• Engage in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, testing, demos, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with the latest AI advancements and design horizontally scalable, high‑availability systems.
• Collaborate with Data Scientist teams to integrate applications with AI/ML, Big Data, or BI solutions.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen able to pass a CBP background investigation.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years of full‑stack software development.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts such as LLMs, transformers, and prompt engineering.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Front‑end frameworks: React, Angular.
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL.
• Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud; knowledge of cloud architecture, virtual networks, load balancers, CDNs.
• DevSecOps and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab).
• API development: RESTful services, authentication methods, data formats, error handling.
• Experience with Generative AI frameworks/libraries and commercial or open‑source model APIs.
