Gemstone Acquisition Analyst

About the role

The Gemstone Acquisition Analyst supports product development and client projects by ensuring timely sourcing of gemstones and related materials. The role acts as a bridge between design teams, suppliers, and internal operations to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate product development and special project orders, reviewing and finalising bills of materials (BOM) and lead times in the GEM system.
• Process consumption and de‑consumption for prototypes, test runs and production units, updating BOMs as needed.
• Maintain and update Diamond cards in GEM and manage monthly stone returns from manufacturing.
• Prepare printing orders, design estimates and communicate with stone suppliers for invoicing and RTV processes.
• Track all product development projects systematically and liaise with retail support, merchandise planning and quality assurance.
• Foster cross‑functional relationships with Product Development, Operations, Supply Management, Logistics and other key teams.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong judgment, decision‑making with vendors and confidence in prioritising tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; 4+ years of relevant business experience preferred.
• GIA education or training is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficient Microsoft Excel.
