About the role
The Georgia Department of Community Health is seeking a GDNA Special Agent to enforce drug regulations across the state. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding public health by ensuring pharmacies, wholesalers, researchers, and healthcare practitioners comply with prescription drug laws.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce state and federal drug laws for pharmacies, drug wholesalers, researchers, and healthcare practitioners throughout Georgia.
- Inspect and audit registrants to ensure compliance with prescription drug handling, accounting, and distribution requirements.
- Review registrant policies and procedures and provide drug‑abuse education to healthcare registrants.
- Maintain records of investigations and coordinate with law‑enforcement agencies as needed.
Required profile
- Pharmacy degree and a current pharmacist license issued by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.
- At least two years of active professional experience as a licensed pharmacist.
- Georgia P.O.S.T. certification (or ability to obtain it within one year of hire).
