Gastroenterologist – Full-time Position in Clear Lake

About the role

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Gastroenterologist to join its expanding practice in the Clear Lake area of north Houston. The position offers a blend of inpatient and outpatient care with dedicated procedure and clinic time, and includes participation in an on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver diseases.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
• Provide inpatient consults and manage acute and chronic GI conditions in both hospital and clinic settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care, surgery, and oncology to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and procedures.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Texas medical license in good standing.
• Open to candidates with experience or recent residency/fellowship graduates.
