Functions Controller – Finance Business Partner (FP&A)

About the role

The Functions Controller will lead planning and controlling activities for Airbus Americas' corporate functions. Reporting to the Head of Central & Functions Controlling, the role ensures accurate cost reporting, budget management, and financial analysis across the North America region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly operating cost reports by cost centre and function.
• Support the monthly close process, coordinate with accounting, and advise on necessary corrections.
• Review cost allocations, perform consistency checks, and improve data quality with headquarters.
• Provide regular financial insights to Executive Management to support operating plan targets.
• Drive digitalisation and automation of reporting using Tableau, SAP, Google Sheets and other controlling tools.
• Lead AI‑related improvements for the functions controlling team and develop cross‑functional use cases with Digital and Finance Transformation teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling, FP&A or similar finance roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex cost data.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with function heads, accounting, tax, treasury and senior leadership.
• Leadership capability to prioritize work and manage cross‑functional dependencies.
