Full‑Time Online Faculty – Social Work

About the role

Grand Canyon University seeks a dedicated full‑time online faculty member to teach Social Work courses. The position involves delivering high‑quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and modern technologies to a diverse, remote student body.

Key responsibilities

• Teach social work courses online to varying class sizes and support students in achieving learning outcomes.
• Hold virtual office hours to assist students outside of class.
• Provide timely, qualitative feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Contribute to the design of licensure pathway programs in social work.
• Participate in curriculum development and college or university committees.
• Support the Dean and Director in building internal and external communities related to the discipline.
• Engage in professional development and stay current in the field.
• May assist with research activities, data analysis, and administrative reporting as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• At least two years of post‑master social work practice.
• Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW).
• Minimum two years of instructional experience in social work at the post‑secondary level.
• Commitment to values‑based education from a Christian perspective.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated teamwork, self‑motivation, integrity, and high professional standards.

Required skills

• Familiarity with web‑enhanced instructional tools such as Angel, Blackboard, WebCT, or Halo.
