Full‑Time Instructor – Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics

About the role

The Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine seeks a full‑time Instructor to lead education and research in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s national and international reputation through excellence in teaching, clinical supervision, and scholarly activity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver predoctoral and postgraduate clinical instruction in prosthodontics.
• Provide didactic lectures and seminars for dental students.
• Supervise and mentor students in research projects related to prosthodontic science.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop curriculum and assessment tools.
• Maintain compliance with Pennsylvania dental licensure requirements.

Required profile

• Eligibility for a Pennsylvania state dental license or a restricted Pennsylvania dental license.
• Dental degree (DScD, DMD, or DDS) preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and scholarly research.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body; women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
