Full‑Time Dental Assistant – Mobile Dental Program

About the role

The Rockbridge Area Health Center is seeking a full‑time Dental Assistant to support its mobile dental program and clinic operations in Lexington, Virginia. You will work closely with dentists and hygienists to deliver primary‑care dental services to a diverse community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Manage inventory of supplies and ensure proper storage.
• Perform basic patient care tasks, including taking radiographs when certified.
• Support mobile dental outreach visits and occasional work at the Buena Vista location.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support Provider certification at time of hire.
• Completion of an accelerated Dental Assisting program or prior dental assisting experience.
• Preferred: Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification and X‑Ray certification.

Required skills
