Full‑Time Customer Service Agent

About the role

As a Customer Service Agent you will be the front‑line representative of American Airlines, assisting passengers throughout their journey. You will work in a fast‑paced airport environment, providing courteous, efficient, and professional service while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Issue, reissue and refund passenger tickets and confirm flight reservations.
• Rebook passengers on oversold flights and during irregular operations.
• Perform passenger check‑in, seat assignments, and resolve oversold seat issues.
• Issue vouchers, coordinate hotel accommodations, meals and transportation for affected passengers.
• Operate gate readers, jetways/bridges, and make boarding announcements.
• Process baggage check‑in, tagging, activation and credit‑card transactions at kiosks.
• Assist passengers with self‑service kiosk check‑in and special‑needs assistance, including unaccompanied minors.
• Maintain accurate flight boarding timelines and complete flight close‑out procedures.

Required profile

• Regular and predictable on‑site attendance, including mandatory overtime when required.
• Ability to work under pressure during security incidents or emergencies.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Willingness to assist passengers with special needs and provide exceptional support.

Required skills

• Gate reader/scanner operation.
• Jetway/bridge operation.
• Self‑service kiosk check‑in and baggage processing.
• Credit‑card transaction handling at ticket counters.
• Passenger baggage tagging and activation at activation stations.
