Full‑Stack Java Developer

About the role

CGI is looking for an enthusiastic Full‑Stack Java Developer to join a high‑performing Agile team building a modern, services‑based web application for a large government agency. You will work with a cutting‑edge stack and help deliver a solution that supports federal reporting, data sharing, and visualization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/SpringBoot backend services.
• Implement responsive UI components using modern Angular.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for PostgreSQL databases.
• Collaborate daily with team members, clients, and end‑users to refine requirements and architecture.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement of development tools.
• Create automated test scripts and contribute to quality assurance.

Required profile

• Strong background in Java development with full‑stack experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring framework and Angular (modern versions).
• Familiarity with RESTful web services and best practices for UI integration.
• Ability to understand database design and optimise data access.
• US citizenship (no sponsorship). Willingness to work onsite in a hybrid model.
