Full-Time Veterinary Assistant – Urgent Care

About the role

Join UrgentVet’s fast‑paced urgent care clinic in Fort Mill as a Full‑Time Senior Veterinary Assistant. You will support a state‑of‑the‑art team delivering after‑hours care for dogs and cats, handling a variety of urgent cases while providing compassionate client service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness, equipment, and assist with client education.
• Utilize cloud‑based EMR, digital x‑ray, and IDEXX in‑house lab equipment.
• Provide support during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Required profile

• Professional, dependable, and able to multitask in a hands‑on environment.
• Energetic animal lover with strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel for on‑site training.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb.
