Full Time Teller

About the role

Santander is seeking a Full Time Teller to join its South Sandwich branch. In this customer‑focused role you will handle daily banking transactions while delivering a high level of service and supporting the branch’s operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times and assist with their banking needs.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
• Adhere to all bank policies, compliance and risk‑management procedures to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities and refer appropriate product solutions.
• Use digital tools to educate customers on self‑service options.
• Assist with custodial duties, audits and other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support nearby branches when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• At least 6 months customer‑service experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to identify and escalate risk concerns.
• Comfortable using digital tools and technology.
• Energetic, organized and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and basic math proficiency.
• Willingness to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
