About the role
Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking a dedicated full‑time Medical Assisting Instructor to join its Medical Assisting Program. The instructor will deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction, preparing students for successful careers in medical assisting across multiple campuses.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in‑person and online instruction for Medical Assisting courses, including day, evening, and Saturday classes.
- Teach laboratory and clinical components, ensuring hands‑on skill development.
- Develop, evaluate, and update curriculum, syllabi, and instructional materials.
- Advise and mentor students to support academic success, retention, and professional growth.
- Participate in textbook selection and course planning aligned with accreditation standards.
- Maintain compliance with CAAHEP and MAERB accreditation requirements.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES‑accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from a MAERB‑accredited organization.
- Minimum three years of full‑time experience in medical assisting, medical assisting education, or a related healthcare field within the past seven years.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
