Full-Time ICU Registered Nurse – Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit on the day shift at Palestine Regional Medical Center. The RN will deliver comprehensive, evidence‑based care to critically ill patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the ICU, including hemodynamic monitoring and management.
• Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and respond to adverse events.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and other providers to optimize treatment.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and discharge instructions.
• Participate in emergency response, code blue and rapid response situations.
• Assist with invasive procedures such as central line and arterial line placements.
• Maintain infection control standards and document care accurately in the EMR.

Required profile

• Current RN license in Texas (or compact state) and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Advanced clinical knowledge in critical care nursing.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Competence in performing central line and arterial line insertions.
