Full-Time Forklift Operator – Yemassee, SC

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator for its Yemassee, SC service center. You will safely move a variety of freight in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long, working on a roofed but non‑climate‑controlled dock.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from trailers.
• Handle different types of freight while maintaining safety standards.
• Read and follow manifests and shipment documentation.
• Interact with computer displays to track loads and inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required profile

• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
• Some experience with less‑than‑truckload (LTL) shipments is preferred.
