Full-Time Forklift Operator – Rock Rapids, IA

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator for its Rock Rapids, IA service center. The role involves safely moving freight in and out of enclosed trailers on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock, with a starting pay of $28.09 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Handle various types of freight safely and efficiently.
• Read and follow manifests and interact with computer displays to track loads.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area.

Required profile

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience, preferably in a fast‑paced setting.
• Some experience with less‑than‑truckload (LTL) operations is preferred.
