Full-Time Forklift Operator – New Carlisle

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator for its New Carlisle, IN service center. You will safely move a variety of freight in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long, working on a roofed but non‑climate‑controlled dock.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from trailers.
• Handle freight safely while adhering to company safety standards.
• Read and follow manifests and interact with computer displays to track shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area.

Required profile

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
• Some experience with less‑than‑truckload (LTL) operations is a plus.
