Full-Time Forklift Operator

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Full-Time Forklift Operator for its Sauget, IL service center. You will work on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock moving freight safely in and out of trailers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Move various types of freight safely and efficiently on the dock.
• Read and follow manifests and computer‑based instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume, LTL setting.
• Basic computer literacy to interact with display screens and read manifests.
