Full-Time Engineering Technology Instructor

About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking a full‑time Engineering Technology Instructor to join its Hall and Barrow County campuses. The position supports the college’s mission to provide high‑quality technical education to Georgia’s workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives for credited Engineering Technology courses.
• Prepare lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional materials that align with program and accreditation standards.
• Evaluate student progress, advise on study plans, and support career placement efforts.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and budget requests; ensure safety and security in labs and classrooms.
• Participate in staff development, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology (or equivalent with 18 semester hours).
• Credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for assigned courses.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities, professional demeanor, and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Ability to interpret and create electrical prints and schematics.
