Full-Time Assistant Manager – Garden Center

About the role

Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for developing the team and driving operational excellence to ensure brand equity, customer satisfaction and financial growth. The role assumes store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to set and execute business strategies, prioritize initiatives and meet sales and performance goals.
• Lead training and development for new hires and existing staff on company culture, product knowledge, loss prevention and store policies.
• Manage employee relations, conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to foster engagement and retention.
• Oversee payroll, cash handling, inventory control and compliance with all Levi’s store policies.
• Direct the merchandising team to maintain visual standards and ensure flawless product presentation.
• Supervise opening and closing procedures, including register counts, bank deposits and facility security.
• Address consumer concerns promptly and create a high‑energy store experience that drives sales.

Required profile

• 3+ years of progressive retail leadership experience with proven coaching and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and perform tasks such as standing, walking, kneeling and climbing ladders.
• Reliable transportation and a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
