Full Stack Software Engineer (Python/React)

About the role

Spot & Tango is looking for a talented Full‑Stack Software Engineer to help build scalable web applications for its pet‑health subscription platform. This backend‑leaning role focuses on Python/Django while also delivering rich front‑end experiences with React and React Native.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features for core products using Django, React, and React Native.
• Maintain high code quality through unit tests and thorough pre‑merge testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align web applications with business goals.
• Optimize performance and responsiveness, especially on mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
• Apply security best practices to protect user data.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate them where beneficial.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Help scale the company, its culture, and its products.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of professional experience as a Full‑Stack Engineer.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating Python and React expertise.
• Experience with Django, React Native, RESTful APIs, and third‑party integrations.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Storybook.
• Proficient in SQL database design and management.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Git version control.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Startup and DTC e‑commerce experience is a plus.
