Full Stack Engineer – Technical Owner

About the role

Biohax is seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to take technical ownership of its entire technology stack. You will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of core systems that power our e‑commerce, subscription, and healthcare‑focused services.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing systems, identify technical debt, bottlenecks, and security risks, and create a roadmap for infrastructure improvement.
• Manage external development agencies, review code quality, and ensure vendors meet technical standards while avoiding lock‑in.
• Design and maintain backend APIs, databases, and scalable architecture for future growth.
• Oversee e‑commerce and fulfillment platforms, including product ordering, subscription management, payment processing, inventory sync, and CRM integrations.
• Maintain cloud infrastructure, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices, HIPAA awareness where applicable, and conduct regular technical audits.
• Identify automation opportunities, integrate AI‑driven workflows, and connect modern automation platforms via APIs.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or projects.
• Proven experience managing third‑party development vendors or agencies.
• Track record of owning production systems with significant business impact.

Required skills

• Backend: Node.js, Python, PHP, REST APIs, GraphQL.
• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions.
• Integrations: Stripe, Shopify, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, third‑party APIs.
