Full Charge Accountant (Remote - US Healthcare Focus)

About the Position

Join Behavioral Health Field, Inc. (BH Field), a compassionate and ethical team of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinicians dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to manage our financial operations and support our mission through excellence in fiscal management.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Issue and track invoices for clients, families, and insurance providers.
• Process insurance billing, verify coverage/authorizations, and manage EOB (Explanation of Benefits) reconciliations.
• Handle billing disputes, adjustments, and proactive collections for overdue payments.
• Maintain compliant billing records in accordance with payer requirements.
• Support payroll reporting, expense classification, and digital accounting file organization.
• Collaborate directly with our US-based CPA to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related financial field.
• Proven experience working with US tax frameworks and medical billing processes.
• Strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal) for seamless communication with the US team.
• High level of autonomy and ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
