Front-end Engineer – Next.js, React, TypeScript

About the role

We are looking for a Front‑end Engineer to join HelloGov AI’s on‑site team in Miami. You will design and build AI‑enhanced user interfaces for our website, checkout flows, and both admin and client portals. The role works closely with product, design and back‑end engineers to deliver scalable, reusable components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop modern web applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Design and implement responsive, accessible UI components from Figma designs.
• Build dynamic, document‑driven workflows and integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Implement real‑time features with WebSockets and support AI‑powered customer experiences.
• Maintain authentication and authorization using Auth0.
• Deploy applications on Vercel, monitor performance with Sentry and own features from development through production.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional front‑end development experience.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment and on‑site in Brickell, Miami (Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑6 pm).

• Next.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• REST and GraphQL API integration.
• Auth0 or OAuth authentication.
• GitHub and modern development workflows.
• WebSockets (Socket.io) and real‑time programming.
• Node.js, NestJS (preferred).
• Figma for design hand‑off.
• Vercel, Sentry, Puppeteer, Mailgun, EasyPost (preferred).
• AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT.
