Front-End Developer

About the role

The Front-End Developer joins the ESGW IT Department to design, build, and maintain web applications with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and long‑term maintainability. You will own UI design and styling from concept to delivery while helping to define and standardize the front‑end framework used across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications.
• Create and implement end‑to‑end UI designs and styling.
• Select, evaluate, and standardize a front‑end framework (React, Vue, Svelte, or Angular).
• Collaborate closely with teammates, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout development and deployment.
• Establish reusable front‑end standards and component libraries to ensure reliable delivery over time.

Required profile

• Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Capability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility.
• Physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements.
• Pass a DMV check and a background check (criminal convictions do not automatically bar employment).

Required skills

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON.
• Experience with at least one major front‑end framework (React, Vue, Svelte, or Angular).
• Consuming APIs and web services.
• Version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Integrated development environments, code editors, and build tools.
• Microsoft Windows operating systems.
