French Teaching Assistant (K‑1)

About the role

The South Academy of International Languages is seeking a French Teaching Assistant to support kindergarten and first‑grade students in a French immersion environment. You will work closely with the lead teacher to deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons while fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and deliver age‑appropriate French language lessons.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group support for core subject content and language development.
• Assist in creating instructional materials that accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued.
• Support assessment of student progress, offer feedback, and help adjust instructional strategies.

Required profile

• Fluency in French (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Flexibility, patience, and enthusiasm for diverse learners.
• Associate degree or higher.
